Help with making Dialysis decisions – your views wanted

Request from Dr Hilary L Bekker, C.Psychol.Senior Lecturer in Behavioural Sciences,Leeds Institute of Health Sciences

Dear Kidney Patients and Carers, we need your help to improve a web-site designed to help people make their dialysis decisions.

If you are, or someone you know is, on dialysis and/or making a decision about dialysis please log on to http://www.yodda.leeds.ac.uk

This link takes you to the study website where you can read the Yorkshire Dialysis Decision Aid and answer questions to help us improve this information for future patients and carers.

If you would like more information about the study, contact Dr Anna Winterbottom at yodda@leeds.ac.uk. The study is being carried out by the Yorkshire Dialysis Decision Aid (YoDDA) research team from the University of Leeds, and Sheffield, Leeds and Hammersmith renal units. The research is funded by Kidney Research UK with partners (Baxter Healthcare Ltd, the British Renal Society and National Kidney Federation) and The Informed Medical Decision Making Foundation. The research was approved by an ethics committee on 25th October, 2010 (ref: 10/H1302/72).
